Kevin got tired of having to download so many security updates after a standard Red Hat installation. The next machine over would need the same updates, and so on and so forth. To fix this, Kevin decided to download the updates once and put them into the installation routine. Great amounts of time were saved using this method. So much so, other people liked the idea and KRUD was born. Therefore, if a security patch becomes available for any KRUD package, it will almost certainly be included on the next month’s edition.” I started subscribing this year, and I’m really impressed.
